Roberttown still has some factories in amongst the suburban houses. I seem to remember this one as being for stainless steel fabrication. But the sign has been taken off the wall.

Dist:0.1km<br/>This church is one of several churches built in the Spen valley thanks to the efforts of the Rev. Hammond Roberson. He bought the land for Roberttown church, but died before the building was complete. The church was consecrated on 24 Sep 1845. A school and parsonage were also built.

Dist:0.1km<br/>Looking eastwards from Bullace Tree Lane, the churchyard is on the left, and on the right there are old houses, new houses, a converted school and flat-roofed flats.

Dist:0.1km<br/>Roberttown is part of the township of Liversedge, and was one of the two manors. No doubt Robert was an early owner of the Manor, and the village is sometimes written 'Robert Town', as on the OS New Popular map. This street was the main road before the turnpike road (now the A62) was built. The houses on the right are all modern, replacing a long terrace of cottages.
