Dating from the 1770s, and built from the remains of an older church on another site. A somewhat forlorn place, not benefiting from its location next to a busy cross-roads, and separated from the main part of the village by the busy A60 (Nottingham-Loughborough)

Re-set grave slab for a former Rector, he died in 1695 and the current church was built 1771 Here lieth interred the body of George Goodman Late Rector of this Parish Who died without issue The first day of August In the year of our Lord 1695 also ye body of Millicent his wife who survived him and continued his widow for fifty four years and departed this life December 28th 1749 aged 84

This slate headstone is mounted onto the wall to the left of the church entrance, and is to the memory of George Goodman, 1695, rector of the parish, and his wife Millicent.
