The London Eye and the Thames are visible near the centre of the photo. Viewed from a Heathrow bound flight from Glasgow, just before it turned around 180 degrees towards the airport.

Designed by Sir John Soane RA (1753-1837), architect of the Bank of England, and was erected in 1816 following the death of his wife Elizabeth in 1815. It contains his wife and son as well as himself.

26 Crowndale Road is the former Old St Pancras church house. The doorway is surmounted by the figure of, presumably, the young St Pancras (aged 14 when martyred).

A tiny but highly-acclaimed theatre and arts centre which also provides community services. It operatesa variety of theatre groups and takes a particular interest in European and international arts generally. The Theatre has a strong Greek Cypriot connection and runs an Advisory Service, an Old People's Luncheon Club and a library, all aimed at the local Greek community.

The College is still a place of further education but is now called "The College for Men and Women".

Dist:0.1km<br/>This is Europe's oldest surviving institute for adult education. Founded in 1854 it was a college for men in Red Lion Square. This listed building became home to the Working Men's College in 1905. A college for women was started in 1864. In 1967 the women's college joined the men's to form one institution.
