Regent's Park Online

Welcome to Regent's Park. This is a guide to the Regent's Park area.

The hospital, (architect, Llewelyn Davies) was completed in 2005. It is a complex site, part of it is very restricted on height to preserve a view from Parliament Hill to the Houses of Parliament. This view is from the North-West, across the Euston Road underpass.

Difficult to get a good view of the church because of other buildings and, yes...trees! Big steel doors on the front don't make it very inviting.

Nice when you get up close but it is on a busy London road. The category is simply "Library" but surely it should be "The Library".

This bronze is of Newton "after Blake". Without a desk he's going to get a really bad back. this statue is located in the front gardens of The British Library.

Situated at the junction of Byng Place and Gordon Square, this church was built in 1853. It is neo-Gothic style and was the cathedral for a Victorian sect called the Catholic Apostolic Church. It was used until 2005 as the Chaplaincy for University of London.

A number of memorials can be found in Tavistock Square, including some which promote peace. There is the central statue of Mahatma Gandhi, a tree planted to commemorate the victims of the Hiroshima bombing and a Conscientious Objectors’ memorial stone.
