Dist:0.2km north<br/>Probably one of the original turnpike milestones. It gives whole miles from Carmarthen and the distance to the nearest yard to Pembroke. However, it is well over 6 miles from Pembroke. See [[874148]] for a hypothesis to explain the discrepancy.

Dist:0.6km north<br/>The hedgerow is a wall almost completely covered with foxgloves and other "wild" flowers. (I don't know whether how cultivated it has been.) Unfortunately I came past at the wrong time of day to photograph it.

Dist:0.6km south<br/>The old road went over the side of a hill through the village. The new one is in a slight cutting to avoid the slope, particularly helpful for lorries - this road carries almost all the road freight to and from Pembroke docks.
