Dist:0.5km<br/>This pretty set of cottages, with an excellent view of Mount's Bay and out to sea, were built to house the Coastguard in an attempt to prevent, or at least make more difficult, the smuggling trade which was rife around this area of West Cornwall. It was only a short distance to scrabble over the rocks down to the cove, which was behind me and to the left as I took this picture. Nowadays it is possible to hire out these cottages as a holiday let (or perhaps do some smuggling of your own !!)

Dist:0.5km<br/>This beautiful fiery sky was taken at Kenneggy Cove approximately half an hour after the shot of the seagulls at Long Rock. The clouds, which also covered the whole sky behind me, turned a magnificent red, which seemed to last for hours until the light finally faded. I have never seen such a sunset since !!

Dist:0.6km<br/>No longer used, but still in reasonable condition, this cottage is situated next to the coastal footpath at the top of the slipway leading to the shore.

Dist:0.6km<br/>I found this little gem (no pun intended for those who like that particular variety of lettuce !!) on the coast path near Prussia Cove. The white cupboard to the right holds vegetables, salad and eggs, and there is an honesty box for your payment.
