Dist:0.2km<br/>This statue stands for the selfless bravery of all lifeboatmen and commemorates three local crew members who drowned on the 1st January 1916 while attempting to rescue passengers from a stricken steamship off Gower. One was Coxswain, another Second Cox and the third a lifeboatman.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The church was reputedly founded by St Cennydd, a follower of St Caddwg of Llancarfan, in the C6, but the earliest fabric of the present building dates from C12 and the structure has been renovated several times at the expense of most of the older features. It is unusual in having no east or west windows, but it does possess a lepers' window on the south wall. The church lies central to the village between the shore and the hillside and has a non-square churchyard suggesting ancient origin.

Dist:0.4km<br/>This was a very tricky track; steep, slippery, narrow, twisting, overgrown and muddy. Great fun but it would be totally unsuitable for most walkers. As it was I emerged from it with my first nettle sting of the year and having very nearly slipped backwards and tripped forwards at least twice due to roots, snags, poking branches and prickly gorse.
