A Shell station on Innerleithen Road. Petrol and diesel prices at the pumps are volatile at the moment and can vary quite widely between stations. I put some diesel into the car this morning at Galashiels, 18 miles to the east of Peebles, costing 104.9 pence per litre and I topped up here in the afternoon at 100.9 pence per litre.

The Edinburgh Road car park is close to the High Street and Sainsbury's supermarket, and is quite full this wintry morning with people catching up on Christmas shopping. The car park area used to be a goods yard in the days of the railways. Compare with [[2205896]] taken not very far away a short time earlier.
