Dist:0.4km<br/>Also marked on maps as Gwedna House, this was the account house for Godolphin Mine, which was under what is now Godolphin Woods. It now serves as a National Trust education centre and offices, the Trust having acquired the freehold in 1999 from Lysbeth Mary Wolstencroft Church. It was originally built in the early 19th century and is grade II listed - for listing particulars see http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1142224. A past resident was the artist Walter Elmer Schofield, who lived here from 1941 until his death in 1944, his son having bought the Godolphin estate in 1937.

Much of the tree cover dates from after the cessation of mining.
