Dist:0.1km<br/>Wall around Ravenscraig Park built in the 1890's ny Michael Barker Nairn to close off the coastal path. It is said that at one time the locals were demolishing one end, as the other was being built. The "get off my land" types have always had a tough time in Scotland. Now that it is a public park, there are numerous holes in the wall which no doubt now serves a more useful purpose as a lichen habitat.

Dist:0.2km<br/>One of several walls near Ravenscraig Castle which run from the shoreline out towards low-water mark. Substantially built, they seem now to serve no purpose, although this one does look as if it might once have protected a small inlet used as a harbour.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The petty little man who tried to seal off the path between Kirkcaldy and Dysart was not afraid of fractal geometry. Every inlet was carefully walled off, lest a square yard of park fall to the feet of the public.
