Paston Great Barn (a Site of Special Scientific Interest restored by English Nature, in cooperation with the North Norfolk Historic Buildings Trust) is used as a breeding and hibernation site by a number of rare bat species.

Dist:0.2km<br/>This 16th century barn (built 1581) is a rare and unique survivor and now a scheduled ancient monument. It is also the centre of a nature reserve, home to rare Barbastelle bats. This is addition to the 7 others including common, soprano, nathusius's pipisstrelle, natterer's, daubenton's, long brown eared and the noctule bat. To prevent disturbance the build is for permit holders only.
