The white fronted premises are those of Checketts, an excellent butchers that has been run by the same family for three generations.

This timber framed inn dates back to 1471 and is said to have been Charles II's first stop on his flight to France after his disastrous defeat at the Battle of Worcester in 1651.

This building used to house Checketts the butchers and Evertons, specialising in fine food and wine. It now appears that Checketts have taken over the lot. This is a local 'institution' and brings in 'foodies' from far and wide. The building also has a fine fire insurance mark.

St Andrew's church in Ombersley is a unique 'Estate' church which remains virtually unaltered since its completion in 1829. The Spire is 160ft high and rests on top of the Bell Tower.
