In 1991 an old pub called "The Green Tree" stood on this site which must have been demolished to build this Old Folks' Home which in turn looks set to be demolished.

My Alma Mater. This is the Priests' House and Chapel as seen from the Schoolyard. Massive redevelopment of the upper school has not touched this corner of the school.

Dist:0.3km north<br/>Harvest open day. This community garden was started in 1994 on the site of a former drift mine, and was originally called the Drift Permaculture Project. It has open days a number of times a year and the one today was to celebrate the coming harvest. The promised highland cows didn't show, but on the plus side we did have bees and a talk on bee-keeping
