Dist:0.3km<br/>This piece of land doesn't feel right and doesn't look right. I'm wondering if it is a landscaped deposit of spoil from motorway construction - the rushes indicating waterlogged soil, the abrupt interface with a brook, left, and the levels that follow the slip road, right. The spinney right of centre is the old hedgerow from a severed field.

Once signed as the A34 through route between Manchester and Southampton, the road is now signed A3400 between the M42 (junction 4) and the outskirts of Chipping Norton where the A44 identifier is used instead as far as Pear Tree roundabout, Oxford.
