Location of The Peckham Experiment. Innovative concrete building designed by Sir Owen Williams in 1935 (now converted into flats). The Peckham Experiment was intended to bring healthy lifestyles to ordinary people and was conceived by husband & wife Doctors George Scott Williamson and Innes Hope Pearse.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Looking north along the island platform. Originally this station had two side platforms, with three tracks between them, the centre track being reversible. When the centre track was removed in 1928, the opportunity was taken to rebuild the station with the island platform. Similar rebuilding took at Peckham Rye station, and a new island platform station was added at South Bermondsey.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Looking south with unit No 455 834 just leaving. This station used to be referred to as 'Queens Road Peckham' to avoid confusion with another Queens Road at Battersea. But the Battersea establishment was re-named Queenstown Road, allowing the 'Peckham' suffix to be dropped. This line is the ex-LBSC South London line.
