Dist:1.0km west<br/>A view looking in the Fakenham direction. A concrete bridge, similar to many others on the line. Built for double track that never came into being. It may be LNER in date as they liked concrete bridges. The trackbed here is private, I was on a supervised walking event.

Dist:1.0km west<br/>Some old rotten sleepers can be seen to the left, these have been dug out by the volunteers and replaced by new ones. Most of the sleepers have been sponsored by supporters of the track appeal http://www.mnr.org.uk/help/sleeper/ however more are needed. The trackbed here is private, I was on a supervised walking event.

Dist:1.1km west<br/>A road bridge over the Mid Norfolk railways northern extension. Work is underway here to restore this line to Hoe and beyond. The bridge was built for double track as with the other bridges, however it remained single all its life. The trackbed here is private, I was on a supervised walking event.

Dist:1.1km west<br/>A view looking towards Fakenham with Dereham only 2 miles behind. Some of the sleepers here are in very bad condition but are due to be changed in 2010 or 2011. The bridge is 1697 http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1789399 The trackbed here is private, I was on a supervised walking event.

Dist:1.1km west<br/>A long cutting (called Northall Green) stretches for over a mile north of Dereham. A total of five bridges cross the gap this being number three. Built for double track it was never doubled unlike the Dereham to Wymondham stretch. This section is currently undergoing restoration by the volunteer crew for an estimated opening in 2012. The trackbed here is private, I was on a supervised walking event.

Dist:1.1km west<br/>The first section of this track leads south alongside the disused railway line. After crossing the line it continues further southwards, now west of the tracks, until it eventually connects with Cemetery Road near Northall Farm.

Dist:1.1km west<br/>The deep cutting north of Dereham, the volunteer permanent way team have been doing wonders restoring this section, with vegetation clearance and drainage works. Several sleepers have also been changed unfortunately many more need changing. The trackbed here is private, I was on a supervised walking event.
