The pilot will need to ascend rapidly to avoid the tall buildings ahead.

This shows a closer image of some of the buildings in the background of Danny's image, but one thing that can be known for sure - the bridge is instantly recognisable in both images by its extremely long and curvy lighting standards!

Dist:0.4km north<br/>VLM is an airline with headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium. It flies from London City airport to destinations there and mainly others in Holland. The Fokker 50 is a twin turboprop plane carrying 50 passengers on short haul flights, and able to use short runways. This view is from east end of the airport car park; the building on the right of the photo is part of the University of East London, Beckton campus. The water is the King George V dock, in which the runway is built.
