Dist:0.9km<br/>A most unusual looking house, with some historical features, such as the mullioned windows and large chimney stacks. Some of the house appears to date from the 16th century and may form part of what was the Archbishop of York's hunting lodge in the Ripon Parks deer park.

Dist:1.0km<br/>There are several ponds in the Ripon Parks area, of which Black Heath Pond and Queen Mary's Dubb are the largest. They may be kettle hole lakes formed at the end of the last ice age, or possibly because of the collapse of underground gypsum deposits, which are common in this area.
