<br/>These two form part of a terrace of four on the north side of a triangle in the Vale of Health. The blue plaque recalls that the Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore stayed in this house in 1912. Information about him may be found on Wikipedia.

Dist:0.1km north<br/>In the 18th century this area was notorious as a malarial marsh, according to the London Encyclopaedia. In 1777 the Hampstead Water Company drained the marsh, and it became an area of fashionable residences. This view from the heath above extends down to towers in the City of London and Docklands.
