Dist:0.7km<br/>The building is still there, but I'm not sure if either of these businesses still exist on Yarburgh road, Alvingham. A kind person, looking in on Geograph, sent me a letter on 6th March 2009, saying that these buildings have now been replaced by two houses.

Dist:1.0km<br/>The old village shop in Alvingham (note the new brickwork over the front door and window indicating the position of the awning). This shop was managed by the Trafford family who have lived in Alvingham since the middle of the 19th century. Next door is the Wesleyan Methodist chapel with the Great War memorial plaque (the middle of the two structures on the gable end). In the distance the crossroads, where a left turn will bring you to the 2 Anglican churches.
