Dist:0.1km<br/>Looking eastwards we see the bottom lock at the eastward end of the Rochdale Canal. Beyond here is navigable water, as the Calder and Hebble Canal connects with the Yorkshire waterway system and eventually via the Trent to the main canal system. Wainhouse Tower is seen on the horizon.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Before the restoration of this canal, Lock No 1 is seen here from the bottom end showing that the small fragment of the Rochdale Canal that remained navigable below the blockage was used for mooring a few boats, that still had access to the Calder and Hebble Canal. Christ Church is on the horizon.
