The house was unoccupied between Friday 9th December 2011 and Monday 12th December 2011, but it is strongly suspected that the crime was committed between 0900 hours and 1215 hours on Monday 12th December 2011. Could I ask that if anybody has any information or seen any suspicious persons or vehicles around the village recently that they contact the Housebreaking Team at Dalkeith Police Station on 0131 654 5560 or email EDivCRU@lbp.pnn.police.uk. Unfortunately in the build up to Christmas there is the potential for a rise in housebreakings and I would like to take this opportunity to remind people to be vigilant and take basic security measures to make sure that your property is secure, even when you are within the house.
