Dist:1.0km east<br/>The recently restored cider mill at Fair Oak Farm was first used last year. As no suitable pony could be found it required three strong men to turn the wheel. Washed apples are put into the trough and are pulped by the stones. The resulting mash is scooped out and placed between cloths. A stack of these cheeses are then pressed to extract the juice. The wear on the floor shows the many years of use.
