Close encounter. I was so engrossed in taking another shot of my favourite pair of horses, I didn't realise how close I was to the action. As the horse on the left turned to go back up its 'land', it and its other team mate passed within inches of me.

Up close, these horses look quite large and powerful when you're kneeling in front of them and they're still moving towards you. However, they're not intimidating and I don't think they would go as far as trampling on you if you got in the way. As it says in this article - http://travel.trainsferriesbuses.co.uk/ploughing.htm. "I once saw Tommy refuse to move forward, when someone looked closely in front of him they found a Harvest Mouse hiding in the stubble!"

Another fine pair of horses being assisted by a leader. "Competitors may have the assistance of a leader until four top rounds are completed. No other assistance will be allowed during the match. He must set one ridge, show four top rounds and finish one furrow."
