Dist:0.4km<br/>This wide track along the field margin can perhaps be described with a bit more certainty as being of industrial origin. Over the crest of the hill was Pyothall No.6 shale mine while the near end joins the line of a disused railway by the roadside cottages.

Dist:0.4km<br/>This photo is not just representative of the square, but also shows fair bit of West Lothian. West Lothian is very industrial, yet contains Britain's most productive arable land. Beyond the cornfield and round bales are the remains of an old shale bing and a big tin shed factory, modern industry along the M8.

Dist:0.5km<br/>This was a day of snowfall in England, not so much falling here though. - looking southwards from above Broxburn towards an approaching shower. Within a couple of minutes it was snowing heavily thanks to another shower approaching from the east.
