Standing over the A62 Gelderd Road, Leeds

This is the Winerite Cash and Carry and Warehousing complex which is sandwiched between the A58 and A62 in South West Leeds. It now stores wines and spirits, but used to be an abattoir

The Armley Gyratory is a very large roundabout or one-way system, the Ingram Distributor Road (A643) links it to the M621. This picture looks down from the footbridge over the end of Ingram Distributor Road. Behind the trees is part of British Gas depot in the middle of the Armley Gyratory.

This is the south end of a 60 metre long tunnel under the main railway lines approaching Leeds station from the south and west. It looks a very small tunnel, but walking through it I found there was adequate headroom and space to pass someone coming the other way. Unfortunately there was much rubbish inside, but no lighting so I couldn't identify what it was!

Whitehall Road runs towards the camera and Spence Lane crosses it by the car showroom. Whitehall Road is broken by the Ingram Distributor Road (I'm standing on the footbridge over it) and continues on the other side.

The lines from the south and west approach the station in a big curve here. The train is heading away from the camera towards the station, about a half kilometre away from here.

This is a public street, but a dead end, lying between parts of the premises of Polestar Petty
