Dist:0.4km north<br/>Tanshelf, now an industrial estate, was until the late 1960s a town within a town, with a maze of terraced houses. This little bridge led into fields on the other side of the railway line, much used by courting couples. It is not difficult to imagine how the name of this bridge eveolved....
