Dist:0.3km north<br/>The original Church of St Mary Magdalene was built here in 1841, but was destroyed by bombing on 21 September 1941. This new church was consecrated in the presence of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother on 3 November 1962. Dist:0.6km north<br/>The place name Hatcham is now virtually obsolete but remains in the name of several parish churches in the New Cross/Brockley area. This one was built in 1893/4 to the designs of H Stock who was surveyor to the Haberdashers Company. In 1972 the western end of the church was incorporated into the Telegraph Hill community centre. It is not listed. This is the best photo obtainable since the church is surrounded by trees.
