<br/>Located in Croydon Road and a short walk from the war memorial roundabout is Beckenham Hospital, formerly known as Beckenham Cottage Hospital. Redevelopment, begun in 2005, is due to be completed in 2008. The site will house a wide range of services including general practice, community health, the minor injuries unit, open access dental care, community mental health, x-ray, blood testing, consultant-led outpatient clinics and pharmacy services.

<br/>This memorial commemorates the men and women of Beckenham who lost their lives in two World Wars. It was unveiled on Sunday 24th July 1921. The memorial was designed by Mr. Newbury A. Trent, R.B.S., is approximately 7.5 metres high, and is a rectangular white Portland stone column. This view is from the south, with the High Street to the right. On the left is the post office.

Dist:0.9km east<br/>In the days when slam doors reigned supreme, a 4-SUB unit waits in the bay with a service to Victoria via Crystal Palace. The through lines are used by through trains on the direct route to Victoria, (and later were used by Eurostar services to an from Waterloo, until November 2007).
