Bradford Road, Batley quiet by day, teems with clubbers at night. Brooklands bar on the left, Legends on the right, and the Frontier at the far end. Other bars/clubs also in the vicinity.

The Frontier nightclub. Originally Batley Variety Club, in its heyday in the '60s, it played host to celebrities such as Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Diana Ross. Nowadays the range of entertainment is quite diverse, with music and comedy for all tastes.

This sculpture, erected in front of Jessop's Mill, at the junction of Bradford road and Rouse Mill Lane, is supposed to be representative of the origin of "Batley". Bats in the belfry?
