Dist:0.2km<br/>A K6 type telephone box stands at the junction of minor roads. In 1935, the Post Office commissioned a new kiosk from Sir Giles Gilbert Scott to celebrate the Jubilee of King George V. The K6 Jubilee Kiosk, as it is known, was similar to the K2 box, being made of cast iron and painted red but was 25% lighter in weight. By the end of the 1930s there were 20,000 K6 telephone boxes in use all over the UK.

Dist:0.9km<br/>In 1802, Southfield Farm was a compact holding south of Milbourne, worked from a farmstead recently built on a new site near the Milbourne/Lea parish boundary. http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=116149#s4 Still a working farm, it now also offers B & B facilities and a caravan site, with coarse fishing available at Woodbridge Brook nearby. Although part of Milbourne parish, and ten minutes' walk from Malmesbury across the fields, road access to Southfield Farm is via Crabmill Lane, Lea.
