The remaining iron gearing. The pit wheel, wallower and great spur wheel are visible with the crown wheel above the great spur wheel. This was turning for National Mills Weekend. The rest of the machinery has been removed. This room is whimsically called the 'cog hole'.

The overshot waterwheel is 12' diameter x 3' 6" wide with 36 buckets. In use it would use 200,000 gallons per hour at 10 rpm.
