Dist:0.2km<br/>I believe this is probably Clough Lee Mill and my locations are approximate. The satellite shows that this appears to have gone, although the pond is still there. Looking at the complex on the ground, I'm pretty sure it would have had a water power plant, latterly almost certainly a turbine, as there was a tall dam hard up against the mill. I was looking forward to going back for an explore, until I saw the satellite.

Dist:0.2km<br/>Built in 1895, and the tower added in 1911. Marsden had been a chapelry of both Huddersfield and Almondbury parishes (north and south of the River Colne respectively), and became a separate parish in 1742. Seen here from Manchester Road (A62).

Dist:0.2km<br/>This is taken from the footpath that runs through woodland parallel with the canal towpath. The houses are on the A62 Manchester Road.

Dist:0.3km<br/>The graveyard and church in Marsden after heavy snow in February 2004. There are still warning signs and turning points on the nearby A62 trans-pennine road, which used to be blocked in Winter on a fairly regular basis. Nowadays that happens only on very rare occasions, which may be yet another sign of changing weather patterns.
