Chiseldon Local History Group is a group of people brought together by their interest in the history of this area of Wiltshire and their belief that this history should be recorded for future generations.
Offering Scouting for girls and boys aged 6-14yrs in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts sections.
About the Club:
Training at the club is done using positive methods with the emphasis on teaching the owner how to train their dog, recognising that all dogs and their owners are individuals. Responsible dog ownership is also strongly encouraged. Information in the form of handouts and in-class discussion is given in all the classes
We have a range of classes including:
Obedience/companion dog training
Puppy classes including socialisation & training
Show handling classes (Juniors & Adults)
Tuesdays: from 6pm onwards
Wednesdays: From 11.30am onwards
Puppy class—6 week course
Classes are 50 min sessions and cost £5 per session
Classes and events held in and around Wiltshire. Egyptian, North African, Turkish, Andalusian and gypsy styles of dance. A bright and colourful troupe of dancers available to perform for charity events and local festivals.
Club for amateur wood carving and other related skills.
During term times:8-9.30pm
Monday - more competetive session
Wednesday - mainly ladies session
Thursday - childrens sessions split into 3 age groups 6-9pm
School Term time Thursdays 7-9pm
Mixed abilities mixed media- meet at the Village Hall, occasional demos, outings and exhibitions.
Lansdowne Luncheon Club
Club for over 60's - held every other Wednesday at the Lansdowne Hall. Members enjoy a freshly cooked two-course hot meal and the opportunity for companionship and to share news.
Membership is full at present, but ckeck this space for news of vacancies.
Thanks go to all who voluntarily help to run this club for the older members of the community.
Pilates Matwork classes held at The Lansdowne Hall Derry Hill on Wednesday lunchtimes from 1-2 pm. New courses commence half-termly and are suitable for all levels of ability. Sessions also held in the villages of Grittleton, Hullavington, Castle Combe and Malmesbury. Please contact Debbie for further details.

We meet every Wednesday evening, throughout the year, from 7:30 – 10 pm at the Sheldon Sports Centre.

We are a mixed ability club and welcome new members with a reasonable standard of badminton.
If you have played badminton in the past, you will probably be good enough – give us a try!
Prospective members are invited to contact us via email, or just turn up on a Wednesday. Your first two weeks are free!

English Civil War re-enactment. Earl Rivers Regiment is a Royalist Regiment within the Sealed Knot Society. We are presently and historically based at Donnington Castle, just north of Newbury.
