Dist:0.4km<br/>This culvert carrying the Golf Course stream under Ocean View Road where it joins Downs View Road is one of several in the area which are inadequate and cause flooding. Crooklets Stream joins the Golf Course stream at this road junction, and both streams flood. Flood defence work is in progress, see "Wild about Britain" webpage http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/node/5998. The fences for the flood defence works are visible in this photo, and another photo [[710476]] shows and describes more of the works.

Dist:0.4km<br/>Part of the Flexbury flood relief scheme. Lack of headroom has dictated multiple pipes rather than one big one. Trash grids are needed to catch floating debris and stop them from entering and partially blocking the pipeline.
