These two oaks are all that remains of a hedgerow that was once part of a boundary separating four fields where now there is one. However, the field still supports flocks of yellowhammer, skylark and lapwing.Graceful red kite can also be seen. Despite close proximity to housing, the odd roe deer and fox can be spotted.

Across the road from the centre is a hide were many species of birds can be seen. The centre itself houses many interesting displays and information about the area.

Dist:0.8km<br/>Right on the rural-urban fringe. This typical cereal field was once four smaller fields. The stubble left behind after harvest is irresistible to a variety of birds.

Dist:0.8km<br/>Just outside the "Reception" (not in shot) lies a post box for the whole Care Village. Much to my astonishment, a Royal Mail van came whilst I was there... (not one to denigrate Royal Mail, but surprised that the post box was still in use given the lack of residents!). In the background is another of the dilapidated homes.
