Dist:0.6km<br/>This bridleway is part of Three Gates Farm. The field to the left, in the north-west corner of the square, is unusual in that it is ploughed but has a significant number of trees still within it.

Dist:0.6km<br/>At the A3054 entrance to Three Gates Farm they are advertising their farm shop and snacks, cream teas and ice creams. Further up the track they are discouraging access due to foot and mouth precautions.

Dist:0.7km<br/>South of the A3054 the otherwise good south-north bridleway suffers from extensive potholing. They are not deep and are an inconvenience rather than impassable.

Dist:0.7km<br/>The farm shop is well advertised from the roadside and clearly encourages visitors. However, the owners are also very concerned about the spread of foot and mouth disease and have disinfectant mats out and a tape across the road preventing vehicles from driving further into the farm. This is on a public bridleway.

Dist:0.7km<br/>The brook crosses under a bridleway and enters a particularly dense section of woodland.

Dist:0.7km<br/>A good bridleway runs roughly north-south across most of this part of the island from Locksgreen to Brighstone. This is the section north of Three Gates Farm.

Dist:0.7km<br/>The plantation seems to be mainly overgrown with teasels. Beyond is a corrugated iron building prominent on 1:25K map. It is being used as a storage shed.

Dist:0.8km<br/>This section of the north-south Locksgreen to Brighstone bridleway is in very good condition, both for walking and riding.

Dist:0.9km<br/>This farm cottage has probably only been there since the 1920's. It is still remote from other properties. But the eyes follow you don't they?
