Dist:0.5km<br/>This tiny station on the Heart of Wales line is now nestled in amongst houses. A small car park and an open building like a bus shelter is all you get.

Dist:1.2km southwest<br/>A footbridge over the river Marlais on former open cast ground. A look at the 1940 map confirms that everything has changed in this area. The roads have been moved and this river now has suspiciously straight portions and sweeping curves to divert it around a large flat area of fields.

Dist:1.2km north<br/>With the opening of the Llanelly Railway in 1857 the quarries at Llandybie were developed on a large scale. The bank of six ornate kilns were built in 1856 by the surveyor and architect R K Penson who was heavily involved in the development of the quarries. Later extensions took the number of kilns in production to nine by 1900.
