Dist:0.4km<br/>Behind Blanche's Farm, the public bridleway joggles right-left into a green lane, Reeds Lane. This is behind the hedge on the right. Straight on is this field. Evidently people had been using this and further fields as a short cut to a public footpath turning left off Reeds Lane. The Highways Act recognizes a sign such as this as an indication that it is not intended to dedicate a path as a public right of way. It would be helpful if the date of erection of the sign were given, for if people had been using the path for twenty years unchallenged before this, then the landowner's had it!
