High up the hillside above the A62, this ruin looks dramatic against the sky. It was called Rollinson on the !850 map and Old Ash on one of the mid-20C.

Dist:0.3km<br/>This building was not shown on the 1850 OS map, and is captioned 'Sunday School' on a mid-20C map. To the left, further down School Lane, there is a group of former mill-workers' houses called Holme Villas. It is strange that the locality name Lingards Wood is in Marsden and not Lingards. Perhaps it originally meant the wood near to Lingards.
