Dist:0.7km<br/>A scruffy area of old mines and untidy farmland just outside Lindal. The old bridge looks like it may have carried a railway perhaps connected with the disused Iron Mines all over the area. The 1940 OS map does not show a railway however.

Dist:1.1km southwest<br/>This stone column stands at the side of the road that joins Little Urswick to Dalton. The picture was taken at the Lindal Junction, looking towards Dalton. Anyone know what the column is for?

Dist:1.3km southeast<br/>This kind of chamber is rare in Cumbria. Without the reassurance of the map it would be easy to mistake it for a pile of naturally eroded limestone boulders.
