Dist:0.2km<br/>This small island is in Ray Creek which flows through Colne Point Nature Reserve. World War 2 Tank defences run through this area. There used to be some to the left of the island but they have sunk into the mud.

Dist:0.2km<br/>These sand banks or dunes appeared around the late 1970's washed along from Clacton by the tides. They are part of Colne Point Nature Reserve. They gradually built up over the years and now they are home to the local fauna and flora. These flowers are Yellow Horned Poppy/Glaucium flavum Crantz.
