Lechlade Homepage

The present structure dates from 1470-76, and early Perpendicular in style. One of the great 'wool' churches. The building is of dressed freestone from Taynton Quarry near Burford.

Viewed from the churchyard which inspired the poet Percy Bysshe Shelley to write "A Summer Evening Churchyard" in 1815.
