The 1840's railway viaduct over the River Nidd was considered to be one of the 'railway crimes of England' at the time of its construction, but now it adds to the picturesque scene along with the medieval church.

Dist:0.2km<br/>An 18th century gentleman's residence close to the river in Knaresborough. Most of the major buildings in the town are constructed of the local Magnesian limestone, and a few are in brick, but for Conyngham Hall gritstone from a little further west was used.

Dist:0.2km<br/>The neo-classical church was built in 1831, on Bond End. The central, pedimented, bay projects very slightly. "The building was designed to look like a private house, shortly after the Catholic Emancipation Act of 1829.
