Kingsbury Underground Station was opened on 10 December 1932 on the Stanmore branch of the Metropolitan Line. Along with the rest of the branch the operation of the railway was transferred to the Bakerloo Line in 1939 and then to the Jubilee Line in 1979. The road in front of the station is the A4006 Kingsbury Road. Only when I downloaded the photo from the camera did I see that some wag had removed the letters GR from the council's black bin in the corner...

This roundabout is at the junction of the A4006 Kingsbury Road / Kenton Road with the A4140 Fryent Way / Honeypot Lane. A corner of the boundary between the London Boroughs of Brent and Harrow is in the centre! Like most of the roundabouts in the area this is more of a squareabout, as evidenced by the long straight kerbline on the left. The Kingsland Hotel is on the left http://www.kingslandhotel.co.uk/

Kingsbury old fire station, The Mall, Kenton, London was originally a fire station from 1939 to 1960, but then changed use to an ambulance station.

Dist:1.0km south<br/>This is the view North from the hill, towards Kingsbury and Edgware. Not a big hill, only 86 metres high, but extensive views. In other directions, West is Harrow on the Hill, South is Wembley Stadium.

Dist:1.0km east<br/>The church is at the top of Kingsbury Hill with extensive views to the South. It was built in 1884, designed by William Butterfield.

Dist:1.0km north<br/>On Westmoreland Road, just off Honeypot Lane. Businesses include plastics, kitchens, tyres, a carwash. A slate supplier is also in this road.

Dist:1.0km west<br/>See website of the Greek Orthodox Community of St. Panteleimon http://www.st-panteleimon.org/index.htm . The community was founded in 1975 and has 10.000 members. The Community moved in 1989 to this building, which was the Anglican Mission Church of the Holy Spirit, built in 1932. The community has bought the church, and plans to build a new Holy Church with auxiliary rooms.
