This area just North of Hyde Park has a number of squares with gardens in the middle available only to residents. The public can visit them at "London Garden Squares" weekend in June each year.

This is a 5 star hotel on the Marylebone Road. Marylebone Station is just behind this hotel. The clock on the tower is incorrect, the time is actually 3.15 pm. British Summer Time started on the day this photo was taken but the weather is damp and windy.

Taken near the junction of Upper Berkeley Street, looking towards Marble Arch. Note the women wearing abayas -- it is a common sight in this area. Photo taken around 7pm on a Sunday evening, and there is plenty of activity.

The shops here usually have flats above -- a typical example is shown here. The shop called Riteway is one of several always-open shops near here, they often sell Middle Eastern groceries among other things.
