This station is on the North London Line. The typical off-peak service is four trains per hour towards Richmond, and four trains per hour towards Stratford. Taken from Station Terrace.

The history of today's 28 goes back to 2 August 1911, when a daily motor-bus route 28 was introduced between Wandsworth Bridge and West Hampstead (West End Green) replacing Horse Bus routes 48 (Fulham Road(Redcliffe Arms) - West Hampstead) and 49 (Brondesbury - Walham Green). By 1950, the 28 was operating between Golders Green Station and Kingston Vale via Wandsworth Plain. In 1988 the 28, along with the 31 were converted to minibus operation. Unfortunately, the introduction of 28-seaters led to severe overcrowding and poor reliability. Dennis Darts introduced in 1991 were more comfortable but did little to improve space for passengers, and the 1999 two-exit Darts, with seating capacity as low as 22, fared no better despite being larger on the outside. An additional route 328 was set up to relieve the overlapping sections of the 28 and 31 between Kensington and Kilburn. Finally in May 2004 the route returned to double-decker operation with Eclipse Gemini-bodied Volvos, with some additional Tridents spare from other routes. On 11 February 2006 the 28 was extended from Harrow Road to Kensal Rise.

Dist:1.0km east<br/>Dedicated to the public in 1887, the Jubilee of Queen Victoria, by the City of London. About a mile south in London W10 there is the Queen's Park area which gave its name to Queen's Park Rangers Football Club.

Dist:1.0km south<br/>The church is in Mortimer Road. It is the Dean Vaughan Memorial Church, dedicated in 1900. The inscription on the foundation stone says it was laid in memory of Charles John Vaughan on behalf of Queen Victoria by Princess Henry of Battenberg on July 14th 1899.

In 2003 Virgin Records sold this and Portobello Dock to, and leased them back from, Derwent Valley Holdings. Their website http://www.derwentvalley.co.uk/LATEST_NEWS/151203/151203.htm says: "The waterfront complex, which comprises five office buildings totalling approximately 49,338 ft2 (4,584 m2) with 105 surface car parking spaces, is situated on two sites on either side of the Grand Union Canal. They are linked by a footbridge and together total 1.8 acres."
