Welcome to Kensal Green. This is a guide to the Kensal Green area.

Whilst searching for the probable source of the, now underground, Counter's Creek in Kensal Green Cemetery I came upon what looks like an unknown Standing Stone amongst the scattered Masonic obelisks!

Looking East towards central London. On the left is a tyre depot, and Kensal Green cemetery is up behind the trees. Along the canal is a gas holder. On the right are railway sidings, with tower flats of White City behind them.

This photo shows the canal being used for its original purpose of transport of goods - here waste is being transferred between a lorry and a canal barge.

Looking towards Kensal Green station, near junction of Wrottesley Road. In this area I noticed a lot of food shops and restaurants that offer Portuguese and Brazilian food.

This British Waterways boat has a conveyor belt which collects floating litter and transfers it into the boat.

This building is part of Eurostar's North Pole Maintenance Depot, The building can house a full Eurostar train which is a quarter of a mile long. The depot will become redundant in 2007 when the London terminus of Eurostar services moves to St Pancras railway station and maintenance is moved to a new depot at Temple Mills, near Stratford International. Just in front of the building is the Great Western Main Line, in the foreground are sidings leading to Old Oak Common Railway Maintenance Depot.
