A Victorian Gothic building. Once a Theological Training Centre owned by The Monks of the Society of the Sacred Mission, now council offices (Newark & Sherwood District Council).

Built for John Manners-Sutton 1859-61. The architect was George Gilbert Scott. In 1919 the house became the property of the Society of the Sacred Mission who added a north wing and chapel. In 1974 it became the headquarters of Newark and Sherwood Distrct Council.
