It has been a troubled week for Rangers FC. The company entered administration on 14th February and the team lost 1-0 to Kilmarnock in the league a few hours after this photo was taken.

Edmiston Drive is the A8 to the west of Glasgow and was the main road to Glasgow Airport (at that time Renfrew Airport) until the M8 motorway opened in the late 1970s.

The home of Rangers FC is now visible from the Paisley to Glasgow railway line since the demolition of some towerblocks. The area in the foreground is a former trackbed which led to the docks and which is being used as a staging yard for the construction of the third track between Shields Junction and Paisley Gilmour Street station.
